SUMMER TO SCHEDULE - BACK TO SCHOOL

Time really flies when you’re chasing kids around all summer in the hot sun. Thankfully it’s almost September which means your kids are now their teachers problem for about 6-7 hours a day.

In all seriousness the summer was a blast with fun and sun but it’s time to get back in gear with schedules, packed lunches, carpool duty and homework checks.

If you’ve been thinking about how to make their transition back into the school year a little easier Aura Effect has some tips for you.

ONE LAST HURAH 
Summer’s slowly fading away for another year and the dreaded back to school routine is looming. Throw your kids and their squad one last hurrah complete with a daytime BBQ, water games and red rover. When  the sun starts to fade set up a screen projector and  have a movie night outside!

This is a quick and easy way to collect donations for the children of your community who perhaps can’t afford new ‘back-to-school’ supplies or clothing. Ask the children to help you sort through and separate it all before the festivities begin.

This will teach them an important lesson in learning to support fellow community members and doing their part to help others.

Leamington Knows How to Party - with Our Lady Peace

What a busy long weekend it’s been!

The Aura Effect team was once again enjoying the sun, sights and sounds in picturesque Leamington, Ontario where we delivered a truckload of LED glow furniture and décor for the worthiest of causes, HOGS FOR HOSPICE. 

In its 2nd annual year, Hogs For Hospice is Southern Ontario’s only 3 day motorcycle rally organized by passionate, local community members aiming to raise funds for a Hospice campus and related health care issues for Leamington and its neighbouring communities. 

Over a 3 day period motorcycle enthusiasts, community members and families took part in everything from rib cookouts to beer gardens, church services and a ride to Pelee National Park - mainland Canada’s most southern point. Not to mention a smashing performance by 4 time Juno winners, Toronto’s very own - Our Lady Peace. The performance, food and festivities was an experience to remember and best of all 100% of the proceeds and donations from the weekend will be added to last years haul of 50,000!!! 

Congratulations to the event organizers and everyone who volunteered and attended. 

Aura Effect delivered an outdoor lounge area to help attendee’s party the night away to the sweet sounds of Our Lady Peace complete with glowing straight and curved bench seating, low desiree tables and closed cubes. This is just one example of how our weatherproof, LED glow furniture and décor can help transform your event space into a party worth remembering. 

                                    

It was such an honour to once again take part in Hogs For Hospice’s event and Aura Effect is already looking forward to next years weekend long jam. We’re just wondering.. who’s on the musical docket for 2018?
